Kurram District 9 August 2022

Kurram district in Pakistan is suffering from decades of sectarian violence, uncertainty, economic backwardness and now, worst of all: CLIMATE CHANGE. Youth from Shia and Sunni backgrounds have come forward to make a change now.

In a region that is often the site of religious strife and tensions, this activity has attracted admiration for promoting inter-faith harmony and eco-friendly attitudes in the society. This local chapter of #GreenSquad is planting trees. Can we have peace by planting trees? In our opinion: Yes.
